I Found Friends!

Okay so I've been so busy which is why I haven't written. Lots of people were worried about me being bored because of all my free-time but I have been so busy this last week or so. Which is over-all good!

So last Friday I had coffee with 2 girls, Au pairs, one of which I met at the Au pair information session. Yasmin and Lilly, they're both from Brazil. We had a really nice chat and decided to go to where Lilly lives to plan a trip to Belgium for a weekend sometime soon.

I have travel buddies! So exciting. Okay so after planning we decided we were hungry so we walked into the city center and got pizza. It was like 2 euros a slice and soooo good.

Of course in true American fashion I got 2 slices and my friends only got 1 lol. I had to get home because someone invited me over for wine and cheese that evening so we parted ways with plans for the morning. Hiking. Yes I know I am a changed person, I am now a ~hiking~ girl. And I have pics for proof :) There's a waterfall called Mullerthall that we thought was on the trail but as you probably guessed it was not. So we hiked the trail and got to the end without seeing the waterfall and then figured out that it was actually just on the side of the road so we walked there and even though we hiked for no reason it was actually really enjoyable. The weather was PERFECT and the trail was beautiful so i'm glad we got lost

On our way home we stopped in a town in the north of Luxembourg and on the German border called Echternach to get lunch. The pizza I ordered was HUGE like an entire pizza for one person. And it had an egg in the middle which was weird but actually pretty good.

There's this glass elevator in the city center that has a panoramic view of the city and so we headed back to town to go on it before the sun set. We wanted to change our clothes though so we stopped at each of our houses to change before going into the city. So we get there and I park my car and we start walking and Lilly is leading the way because she's been on the elevator before. We end up walking over an hour like allll through the city and it was so beautiful. I got to see parts of the city you can't see from a car so it was really fun. Like this view... and then we finally made it to the elevator! It was so cool. It's crazy how beautiful Luxembourg especially at sunset.

We decide to go home because it has been a loooong day and I wanted to go home to eat my leftover pizza. So I map walking directions to my car and its a 7 MINUTE WALK. Yep we made a 7 minute walk into an hour walk. But I wasn't mad because the walk was amazing so oh well.

And the next morning was church! I went to Oasis because the young adults group was meeting afterward for lunch and we went to this really cool italian place (I forgot to take a pic though sorry).

On Wednesday I got coffee with a bunch of au pairs that I connected with on a giant whatsapp au pair group and it was so fun! I met so many people from so many places and I have even more people to hang out with now. I also go coffee with an American girl this morning and we're already making travel plans!
